Meet Our Providers


    

Angela Hubbard, M.D. - A native Washingtonian, received her B.S. in Biology from Georgetown University, and her M.D. from Howard University College of Medicine.  She did her residency training at Children’s National Medical Center in the Primary Care Track.  Dr. Hubbard is board certified in Pediatrics.  After residency, she worked as a general pediatrician with The George Washington University Health Plan for eleven years as the Lead Pediatrician.  She then had a private practice for twelve years in Greenbelt. Dr. Hubbard enjoys caring for children as they grow, from birth through adolescence.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, as well as reading, traveling, and hosting family gatherings in her home.


  

Danita L. Tucker Powell, M.D.  - A cum laude graduate of Towson University, she earned her M.D. at Howard University's College of Medicine. Upon graduation frome Howard, she completed her pediatric residency at Children's National. After completing her residency, she then joined the staff of University Care, one of University of Maryland's community primary care sites in Baltimore. There, she oversaw their Asthma Management Program and treated an under-served community. In 2005, Dr. Tucker Powell joined Angela Hubbard, M.D., at her private practive in Greenbelt. While caring for all aspects of pediatrics, she still has a special interest in asthma management. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.                      


   

Nadia Goodwin, M.D. - graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Medical Technology from Morgan State University in Baltimore. MD. She returned to her native New York where she earned her M.D. at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. After medical school, she trained in Pediatrics at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, NY. After six years in general pediatric practice in the Bronx, she relocated to Maryland. She worked briefly for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving a large population of immigrant families. She speaks both English and Spanish and is devoted to the mission of helping parents shape their children into healthy adults. She is a board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and is a new eaddition to the CP&A Greenbelt team!                      


   
            

Guylene Desir-Gaston, CRNP, MSN, RNC-NIC -   She attended Langston University where she graduated magna cum laude, received her BSN from the University of Maryland, and earned national board certification and the credential of Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) in Primary Care. For seventeen years, she worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse (NICU), and has been a pediatric primary care Advance Practice Nurse (APN) since 2007. She is especially passionate about asthma education and childhood obesity. She is a native of Haiti, and speaks English, French and Creole
