Meet Our Providers

Clifford Galanis, MD - Received his BA (with Honors) from Princeton University, and his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He completed both his Pediatric Residency and Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Children's national, and is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. After working with a large pediatric group on Capitol Hill for several years, "Dr. Cliff" founded The Pediatric and Adolescent Center in 2000, which became part of Children's Pediatricians and Associates (CP&A) in 2014. He is the Lead Physician of the Bowie Practice, and serves on the Board of Directors of CP&A as well.

Sherice Richardon , DO - From Portsmouth, Virginia, she graduated in 2006 from Lincoln University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. In 2012, Dr. Richardson obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg,Va. She completed her Pediatric residency training at Sinai Children's Hospital in Baltimore in 2015, and then joined a practice in Southern Maryland where she stared her professional career as a primary care pediatrician. She remained there until 2016, when she joined CP&A in Bowie, MD.

Dr. Richardson has a special interest in childhood obesity, which she honed during her residency training. Noting the increased prevalence of childhood ibesity in her patient population, she developed a desire to educate her patients on living a helahty lifestyle. Dr. Richardson loves to spend family time with her husband and three sons, and enjoys DIY projects and watching HGTV.

Maislyn Christie, MD - Originally from Jamaica, she graudated from Howard University with a B.S. in Zoology (With Honors) and from Howard University College of Medicine (With Honors). She completed her Pediatric Residency and Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Children's National, and is Board Certified in General Pediatrics. Immediately after her trainin, she served as Director of Adolescent Medicine at DC General Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Howard University. She has been in private practice in Cheverly since 1994.

She has been involed in enriching the lives of children both locally and internationally. Since 2008, she has participated in a number of medical mission trips to the Caribbean and Central America. In her spare time Dr. Christie enjoys reading and gardening.
